Cheri, I think Crys was just saying she likes the calendar and would use it but she also needs the motivation that the nano event provides. I'm the same way. I have three jobs and a family, so I can really only squeeze novel writing once per year. If I had the time and motivation to write the rest of the year, I would definitely use the calendar. I think Crys was saying something similar, and in particular that she needs the energy of the nano event in order to succeed. I think that changes for people at different points in their lives, too.
