Where would I be without Zillow to spy on what's in other people's houses? Are there basements there? What's a Park Avenue townhouse look like on the inside - oh yeah, I need an elevator in mine too.

And October NaNo Prep is the perfect time to research all that and save those photos (right-click and copy it right into your plan)

Don't forget about Google Earth, Maps and Street View if your characters are road-tripping.

I may still have lots of [what kind of shoes?] notes on November 30th, but if I have a few photos from October of a house, a herd of goats, or the immense glory of the Jersey Turnpike, I can write a lot of words about them in November, rather than wasting time researching. Worse is going back onto the Internet to find what I thought I saw in October.
