Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way. – E. L. Doctorow Are you a Pantser? Does all this prep work make you roll your eyes thinking why would stifle my creative juices by outlining and pre defining my characters? Well, like this awesome quote implies, you can still develop it milestone to milestone. Just consider your prep work as the road where your conversations and ideas take place. This is important to me as Prep is definitely not my usual style. But since I'm writing outside my normal genre I need all the guidance I can get. I keep wanting to revert to love, sex and happily ever after. LOL Instead I'm realizing this might be a trilogy instead of massive earth changing proportions! Sheesh Happy Writing my friends and have a great Monday. Go....Fight....WRITE!!! ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
