And any of the tables you see can be customized for what you need for this novel. You don't need to be good at spreadsheets to draw a chart on a piece of paper. You can even have multiple charts. Here's some ideas: Multiple settings and tracking who has been seen or present during something important. Do you have lots of travel - physical or through time? Do you want to alternate point-of-view characters and make sure no one is hogging the microphone? Do you want to put together a list of scenes to make sure each one has a goal? Do you have to dribble out some back story or important details in a story-like fashion so no one is having a pages-long soliloquy aka info dump? (tell us ignorant hobbits all about the Ring, Gandalf) |
