Another aspect is the "gang" mentality. People join gangs, cults, religions to feel a profound sense of belonging. To have this very fundamental need met, creates a fierce loyalty that will allow a person to put aside even inner conflict for the sake of being where they feel they are most needed, loved, helpful. Then those conflicts are no longer conflicts because they are following the edicts of those held in honor. He can still be black and white but just not following "his" inner beliefs. Those are not acknowledged in lieu of a higher purpose handed down. This is a great topic, thanks for sharing. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
