I would stay away from "Dead Heads". At least to people of my generation, that term already describes a certain group of people who are not zombies. Well, most of them, anyway.
For a 'technical term", some of the less-used words for 'ghost' could be repurposed. I particularly like terms like "revenant" and "wight", that have passed out of common usage.
