entry and the value of virtual tours
"assignment 25: revise idea/premiseOpen in new Window. So prep is now complete. Yea, me.

This side note should have been shared with a past assignment where we describe a setting, but will give you my thoughts just the same. I found, quite by accident, this wonderful feature that helped me when writing my setting assignment. It is called a virtual tour. I just put in the search engine that i wanted to see the inside of the kind of house I wanted for my protagonist. From there I just picked one virtual tour and I was hooked. I am no good at drawing, but I can do a print screen type of copy and paste. I can tweak the picture as I like, but having something real to go on is immensely helpful in that it solidifies the choices and speech patterns of my characters.

The nice thing about it is that it instantly clarified in my mind the type of income my protagonist was pulling down, what he must dress like, what he would say, what he would put up with, even the level of confidence he would have in different situations. It really does.
