Yes I found that idea too--seems to be quite a lot of speculation but did say that part of the family did not like the situation and her family had not enough money. Too bad there are not more detailed letters.

Lucky her family allowed the developing of her art---or she might have just shrunk for sure. I think she was strong in her ways and certainly had strong values and opinions. Thanks for your response. Good to see you!
