I am a villain lover. And I corrupted my daughter early in life. While watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone back in the day, I pointed out Tom Felton's face (Draco) as Dumbledore gave out enough points to Gryffindor to win the House Cup, and change all the green Slytherin banners to red Gryffindor ones. Since I don't necessarily write *good* protagonists who sail through life, my antagonists can either be understandable, or go the other way and be absolutely terrible people who have the backing of society, have poor excuses, and face little or no punishment - like a fictional Brock Turner, formerly of the Stanford University swim team.
