These are definitely all the best things to remember when writing about PTSD. And also remember about the shy and withdrawn. I only remember my grandfather ever talking about one of his experiences during WWII and it was not his most traumatic one. I only learned that from my father. My grandfather didn't like to talk about the war. He had been stationed aboard the USS Fanshaw Bay during and during one of the battles blown of the ship by cannon fire. His entire crew thought he was dead for 2 months. Apparently he'd drifted around sea for a while until picked up by another US ship and taken to a hospital. When he was well enough they sent him right back to the Fanshaw Bay. I certainly can't imagine what he went through.

But on another note. With regards to your character, with the captivity she may have also picked up some nervous habits, or pavlovian symptoms due to the constant reminders to do things. Such as putting on lotion. No matter how much she may not want to, she may now not be able to help herself from doing it. It becomes the nervous tick which won't go away unless satisfied.
