Sharon.NJ She has been to the meeting a few of times and you have touched a few traits. I agree she thinks she has it all because she's done so much research. In writing any book, part of research is "knowing the enemy" or your competition. What makes the reader pick up their books? why does this genre or story intrigue you? If you know nothing about what people want to read, then you will be sadly disappointed when your book sits on a shelf or you self pub and only your friends buy and give you rave reviews because you told them to. Even if you sell to a smaller audience it may grow. Cozy mysteries are huge now. They started as just that, something cozy to read on vacation or in a waiting room. Tina |
