The bonus assignments and prize have been eliminated in 2017. Although many Preppers typically complete the bonus assignments, very few take advantage of the prize, and administration of the prize is difficult to manage.

As a result, the 2017 Calendar underwent a bit of an overhaul. Some of the more useful and popular bonus assignments have been worked into the required assignments. We have also added some plot brainstorming days, while reducing the actual number of outline revision days. We hope you find the new plot building exercises effective in helping you craft your story.
