First, I would ask yourself why the scene is needed in the first place. I don't know the whole plot, story, or anything here.

From my limited viewpoint, it looks like it might be a key moment to your story.

If that's true, I would recommend at least changing to another chapter if you make a drastic POV change.

Of course, you are free to do anything you want with your story.
