** Image ID #2136562 Unavailable ** I know, slightly small font. But a brief summary would be, the poor woman sits down on November 1st, with absolutely no idea what to write. She claims that "Eva's idea of doing a rough outline wasn't so stupid after all". That's why we prep. The more we've got planned and ready before the clock strikes midnight, sparking the start of crazy writing month , the more likely we're going to get those 50K words down on the page, or onto the screen. I'll admit, I've never won NaNo, but I've always put minimal effort into Prep; sometimes with outlines that had time gaps, with no clue how to jump from here to there. Don't do that. The more you prepare, the more prepared you are. It's in the word after all. Brandiwynš¶ didn't call it the NaNoWriMo Prep Challenge for nothing! So, in short, prep. Prep as much as you possibly can. You'll give yourself less work in November, and free yourself up to focus on that all important target of 50,000 words. ** Image ID #2022816 Unavailable ** |
