Speaking as a judge in the past (I’m just not judging this year). I go through and grab all the links from the contest rounds, then open and start looking them over. We’re not required to keep reading if it doesn’t keep our interest so I might read one paragraph, I might read the whole thing. If it’s locked or the link doesn’t work, I just move on. If you edit it after I’ve looked at it, I won’t go back and reread. There are a LOT of entries, especially in round one.
