Too much backstory
by MontyB Author IconMail Icon

How do you combat this? I have a feeling that the story I wrote about how Gemma and Rayne met is going to go into my cut words file. How do you know when it's too much backstory and not at all interesting to the plot? And, more importantly, how do you keep it out without being an underwriter?

Some days I really think I need to find another career because I'm so totally bad at this one.
