After 10 days of writing, here's how the team word counts are shaping up: 1st Place: The Purple Team with 131,673 words 2nd Place: The Orange Team with 113,013 words 3rd Place: The White Team with 99,970 words 4th Place: The Blue Team with 86,510 words --- BASELINE: 83,335 words --- 5th Place: The Brown Team with 73,723 words 6th Place: The Gold Team with 73,467 words 7th Place: The Green Team with 73,046 words 8th Place: The Black Team with 72,126 words 9th Place: The Silver Team with 70,980 words 10th Place: The Yellow Team with 66,638 words 11th Place: The Pink Team with 62,942 words 12th Place: The Red Team with 40,405 words The Purple Team has jumped out to an early lead thanks in large part to the fact that kerrimiller wrote 50,000 words in the first five days (  ) and has kept right on rolling after that... and quite a few teams are running very close to one another, albeit slightly behind the baseline (i.e., if each of the five members of the team were averaging 1,667 words per day).Less that 7,500 words separate the 5th Place team from the 10th Place Team, and with 20 days left, there's still plenty of time for people to catch up with their writing goals.
