I'm a fan of handwriting certain Prep assignments. I use a bound journal (fresh, shiny new journal for each year.) I do the assignments in order. I title each page with the Day # and assignment (e.g., "Day 4: Theme"), underlined across the top.

But, like Elle - on hiatus, I'm a tech girl when it comes to organization. I *always* type up my journaled notes later. Typically, I use a WDC book item with a "Chapter" for each assignment. When I've finished typing up a page, I strike through the page with a corner-to-corner diagonal line, so I know the page has been transcribed.

Not only does this allow me to organize my work electronically, but it also forces me to re-read what I wrote at least once. Since I don't transcribe every day, I'm often surprised at how far my novel project has come in only a few days. My plot, my characters, details about my world, all these things evolve little by little, but the evolution is huge when transcribing and rereading an assignment I did only a week ago.

And of course, having my notes in electronic format allows me to tweak, rearrange, or duplicate in seconds.
