Mid-October, mid-prep... if you feel like you're losing steam, take a deep breath and pat yourself on your back. You've already completed half of Prep, which makes you way more prepared than you were 15 days ago. Just in case you need a little pick me up, I've included a few inspiration writing quotes to keep you going. I hope at least one of them gives you the resolve you need to press forward and endure to the end (because it's totally worth it!): "If you wait for inspiration to write you’re not a writer, you’re a waiter." Dan Poynter "Be courageous and try to write in a way that scares you a little." Holley Gerth "You fail only if you stop writing." Ray Bradbury "A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit." Richard Bach "A book is a dream you hold in your hand." Neil Gaiman "Don’t forget— no one else sees the word the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories you have to tell." Charles de Lint "This is how you do it; you sit down at the keyboard and you put one word after another until it’s done. It’s that easy, and that hard." Neil Gaiman "Your intuition knows what to write, so get out of the way." Ray Bradbury "If a story is in you, it has got to come out." William Faulkner "It’s not the fear of writing that blocks people, it’s the fear of not writing well; something quite different." Scott Berkun And, last but not least: "The only writer to whom you should compare yourself is the writer you were yesterday." David Schlosser Sarah Rae
