We're halfway through NaNoWriMo, so let's take a quick look at how the competition is shaping up! 1st Place: the Silver Team with 144,649 words 2nd Place: the Red Team with 141,027 words 3rd Place: the Gold Team with 133,029 words 4th Place: the Yellow Team with 130,462 words 5th Place: the Black Team with 130,322 words BASELINE: 125,025 words 6th Place: the Purple Team with 109,779 words 7th Place: the White Team with 103,990 words 8th Place: the Brown Team with 92,975 words 9th Place: the Blue Team with 81,890 words 10th Place: the Pink Team with 71,150 words 11th Place: the Green Team with 49,136 words 12th Place: the Orange Team with 37,743 words The Top 5 teams are all steadily progressing and within 15,000 words of each other, and a couple other teams are hot on their heels. There were a handful of writers who haven't added their word counts to the WDC NaNoCounter yet, which explains why some of the teams have a very low word count... Rich  , Supersonic-Hyper Writing Turbo , Andy~hating university  , Fearlycia Lee ☮  , and hbk16, please make sure you update your NaNoCounter so I can count your words toward your team's total in the next Progress Report! Adding in your words count dramatically change your team's position. Every extra word helps!Most importantly, though, whether you're on a team near the top or the bottom of the rankings, there are still plenty of days left in November. We have half the competition left to go and even if you're behind in your word count, there's plenty of time to turn it around. Good luck to everyone as they continue their writing sprints!
