I too had characters last year that suddenly did something so out of what I thought they should do. I told hubby I couldn't believe it, that character just went off into left field. He didn't understand, of course he didn't. But then, he isn't a writer.

We know that our characters come alive on the page, they have their own lives and do things unexpectedly and who are we to tell them no! After all, that left turn could be the break you need...
