I'm looking at a story that has a two to three year window in it and can't decide if the starting point is somewhere inside that timeline or if it should just be chronological from the start. From the end of 1989 until mid-92/93. Specifically, I'm fictionalizing me. Or, I could do what others say, make it autobiographical. Too much sensitive material, so I'm caught in story and literally so. This was helpful. I can start to focus more on how I really want to outline and play this thing out, if I can commit to the actual novel start, and using anything prior for assignment. Commit, Brian. I can always change my mind later? |
