I agree, but you can also create a duplicate copy on the hard drive using something like "notes" which comes with apple OS, or put it into some other program so that if the copy you are working with does huck-up, you can C/P from the other document.

Using DVDs or CDs to back up stuff also works. Floppies not so much these days
Using the cloud is another option/someone's server. Usually, there is a charge $ for this service.
You can make a copy from one computer to the other if they are able to communicate to each other.
BTW, I am considering copying all of my portfolio and related WDC stuff.
You could print everything, but ...
