Concerning that I was worried about what to write here, it went better than I thought! "Day 20: Tools to spice it up!" BUT! What would be this? Laura and Vincent are in the English Garden in Munich and observe a totally exasperated young mother slapping her agitated daughter on the butt, who didn't stop her antics even after several "warnings" of what was to come. The Special Victims' detective having been exposed to many battered and otherwise abused children and the (internal) parent in Vincent (that "developed" after he learned his wife was pregnant) are warring. He's angry at the woman... although he senses, too, that she seemed to deem it a last measure to solve the situation and regain control over something that had gotten out of her hands. Laura, though, looks at the - now even harder! - crying little girl, sneers and says, "Those who don't listen must feel.", which both appalls Vincent and make him lash out at her verbally, the (internal) father protecting his little one, triggered by the situation. She, however, is reminded of similar situations with her own mother when she was that age. Is this "mere" Conflict, Flashback, or something else, or a mix? Any ideas? |
