Wowee Zowee! I decided very late in the game that I was going to finish in time, and wrote over 10,000 words on Nov 30! I wrote word 50,049 of my NaNo novel around 10:30pm! I wrote in about 1K chunks, and after a while my characters got excited to be getting so much attention and really started taking the lead! I had fun - (the tendons in my fingers did not, they are still a bit swollen ) Of course I woke up on Dec. 1 wanting to start writing again, but I forced myself NOT to, for my hope of being able to type long into the future. How do the rest of you plan to keep up the momentum you've got going with NaNo, or do you plan to try to keep it up? Are you putting your NaNo story on hold because you got burned out on it, or are you more into it than ever? How do you feel about your NaNo story after winning or not winning? Someone asked me what I "won" by writing 50K in a 30 days, and I told them "I won a lot of new friends, knowledge, experience, and the first 50K words of my next novel!" (I also finally had the realization that I can write and even I can improve over time ) Cheers, y'all! Thanks for all of your kind words and encouragement along the way! BA |
