A diffident meeting

Her shy countenance attracted me
her dark eyes flashing
lashes fluttering as she looked away

Smooth creamy latte skin
fingers tremor
at my brief touch of salutation

Timidly, she glances up through her lashes
her cheeks flush at my regard
but she does not look away

It is bliss
a moment of connection
hints of love unspoken
