Thank you for your kind words. And yes, sometimes it's tough to be in the minority- but when it comes to matters of faith, believers have always been in the minority, though their message is of universal import. I pay a lot of attention to words and their meanings. It seems that whoever controls a word's meaning controls the conversation (or at least thinks they do). Asie from "love," one of the more misused words, in my opinion, is "Christian." Some believe that if the Savior's name isn't in the official title of the church, or if a church claims belief in visions, or wants to baptize by immersion, or is serious about its members seeking a covenant relationship with God, they're too extreme to be considered "Christian." To me, anyone who considers Christ their personal Savior is a Christian. So, let others say what they will, but true followers of God know in their hearts that they are Christians. Despite occasional doctrinal differences, we're all in this together. |
