MontyB introduced me to this idea a few years ago. Whether you believe in tarot cards is honestly irrelevant. They can be a great a brainstorming tool. Say you need a name for the aunt of your protagonist. š I tried two different virtual tarot decks and flipped one card. On the first flip, I got a picture of a knight on a horse, and my mind immediately said, "Millie." (Because it rhymes with filly?) On the second flip, the card was "the lovers" with a couple in a garden who looked like Adam and Eve (not surprisingly, "Eve" came to mind.) Here's an article with more thoughts on the topic: https://www.thescepticstarot.com/2020/10/brainstorming-with-tarot-cards.html |
