My thoughts:

Ann was outrageous and proud and determined and hilarious and generous and eccentric. She could be oh so trying, but I miss her long snail mail letters and her fierce defence of those she loved. Ann, you are missed. I've missed you since you got Alzheimer's and couldn't be here anymore, couldn't write to me anymore, but now? Now I'm a little bit heartbroken. *Cry*
