Excel is basically a numbers program - but can be tailored to your needs. You should be able to find tutorials about it just about anywhere on the net. As an aside, when we worked in Yellowstone reservations, we had a manager that used a spreadsheet for the work schedule. At least 20-30 people worked in this department at any one time. My word, you should have seen that file. It was absolutely amazing. It contained names, days off requested, days scheduled to work, our status in selling contest items, notes about performance; basically anything pertaining to a specific individual.
