Hello everyone. This week, I am sharing updates on the progress of HSP during this session and what's in store. Your invaluable feedback is not just crucial, but it's the lifeblood of our course development. As we conclude this session and prepare for the Fall Session starting on [September 2nd], we eagerly await your thoughts and suggestions. Next week, I will send out the class survey. This survey is not just a formality, but a tool for us to gain deep insights into your learning experience. Your responses will guide us in making necessary changes and improvements to the course structure and content. New this session: Those of you taking classes this session already know that we have increased word counts for the assignments, as it was necessary for you to delve deeper into your characters and descriptions. We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience during these changes, which are aimed at enhancing your learning experience. Romantica and See it Sultry will now become a two-part, back-to-back class catering to Romance Novel Writing. This innovative structure is designed to amplify your learning experience, guiding you through the inception of your novel in Romantica and culminating your story in See it Sultry. We believe this change will bring a new level of depth and richness to your writing journey. Bikerider and I are not just instructors, but fellow learners in the Romantica class this session. We are exploring the new layout together, discovering what works and what can be enhanced. This collaborative learning approach is what makes our classes unique and engaging. For this reason, we are excited to offer Romantica and See it Sultry in the fall. We realize that the Romance and Erotic genres have much to offer, especially as they tend to cross over into other genres. For this reason, our next session introduces the Paranormal Romance Class, thanks to Jim Hall . That leaves HSP with six stand-alone classes. Here is the insight I am hoping to gain from each of you. 1 - What are your thoughts about Romantica and See it Sultry as a two-part class catering to novel writing? Would you be interested in taking these two classes in the future? 2 - Do you think that HSP should duplicate this concept in the Erotica genre for longer pieces of writing or novels? 3 - Knowing that HSP is partnering with the Paranormal Romance genre, are there any other crossover genres you believe would be worth HSP taking a look at? Thank you again for your time and energy. You are what makes HSP the unique place that it is. ~Theresa |
