It might seem like... Hang on! It's only day 2! How can I have a premise already? I barely got my *what if* done! Your premise at this stage does not have to be 100% what you are going to write. I can give you an example. One of my NaNo stories for this year is a YA story about fairies. Setting: rural Australia (somewhere, but a farm outside a country town). Time: Pre-social media. Protag: 12-16 yo boy. Antag: abusive step-father. Inciting incident: antag beating protag's mother. That's it so far. Where it goes from there will have to wait until November. So, please, do not think you have to have the whole thing worked out right now. Enough to build on as October progresses will be more than enough. |
