We have a fee day on Sun October 6, but we should be getting into the nitty gritty of planning our novel (shout out to all you planners out there!). As such, I think the ways of plotting could be looked at to give you an idea of what is out there. "20240620 Plotting Techniques Part 1" ![]() "20240621 Plotting Techniques Part 2" ![]() This covers some of the more common ones. For plantsers, here's a technique that a friend of mine introduced me to: Chase the cat! What this means is you plot the first 3 chapters. When you finish chapter 2, plot the next 3 chapters based on what you have written thus far. When you get to chapter 5, repeat... and so on, adding 3 more chapters whenever you have one chapter left to write. Just some things to contemplate! |
