Rework the outline when you have time before starting writing if you rely on it. Or continue on, finish prep, and then wing it based on what you know. But it does sound like you are a plotter like me and need the outline to write. There's still time to finish prep- you can do it! And rework the outline (Count that day when you do it.) along the way.
