Central International Airport "May I have your attention please ladies and gentlemen," said the captain, his voice sounding as American as apple pie. The captain continued: "We have to abort this flight for safety reasons. I ask your forgiveness and patience as we try to make this delay as convenient as possible."
Jason Abraham, from his seat, was startled. Kanya, from her seat, was even more startled. This sounded like trouble with a capital T. The trouble with Abraham was that he knew too much about flying, and could only imagine the endless possibilities of aborting any flight. Kanya knew too little, and nearly felt panicky at the same endless scenarios.
The pilot started to turn back as the air crew prepared passengers for an emergency landing. J. A. closed his eyes and wished this was all a nightmare.
Kanya, in her seat, closed her own eyes, and wished the same thing as J. A. The pilot turned back, and started to dump jet fuel over an empty field, so he could land with a lighter load. The rest of the crew worked with equal skill to bring the plane into a safe landing at Bermuda International Airport!
