Chapter #4

Romantic Stranger

    by: Ram Effect
"Sir... that bag is too large for a carry-on, we'll have to stow it below the aircraft..."

"Oh that's right, what was I thinking?"

"No problem, Jason. It's cool."

Kanya overheard this exchange as she boarded the plane to Bermuda. She was relieved to have gotten past checkout, but was detemined to mind her own business. Nevertheless she couldn't help wondering who this Jason character was. She soon got her answer. She found her seat in row 22, and sat down.

"Excuse me, ma'am" a polite, quiet voice said in Kanya's ear, "but I've got the window seat."

Kanya looked up from the aisle seat of row 22 to see a big man standing over her. He was about 6' 4'', broad-shouldered, blond-haired, and heavyset. The voice belonged to Jason. Kanya got up carefully and let the man by her. Jason sat down in the window seat. Kanya sat back down in the aisle seat, and returned Jason's smile.

"Hi I'm Jason Abraham."

"Kanya..."

Kanya shook Jason's huge hand. For a moment his grip reminded Kanya of Raul, and she shuddered. But she was determined to forget Raul on this trip. So she tried to make conversation with this charming stranger.

"Do you know the checkout lady?"

"I'm an aircraft mechanic. I know alot of people who work at this airport."

"So your carry-on bag was to big?"

"That's right. I should have known better, but i misjudged it."

"What were you carrying in there, bricks?"
Jason laughed.

"No books! I'm a bookworm. I like to read. When I fly, I spend all my time reading. I never sleep on an airplane. So I read or just enjoy the flight. I even stay awake on the red-eyes."

Kanya laughed at that. She was starting to like this guy and was starting to relax. Before they could continue the conversation, the stewardess leaned over and spoke to Jason.
"Excuse me, sir but you'll have to move."

Kanya didn't want Jason to move, but reminded herself to mind her own business....

You have the following choices:

1. Stewardess makes Jason change seats
