Central International Airport This choice: They sigh, and look away disappointed. Jessica continues to the desk • Go Back...Chapter #7In the Elevator by: Dana   "Freeze!" the police shout, two of them raising their handguns.
Jessica stopped abruptly and pulls her robe tighter around her. "What do they want with me?" she thought frantically.
"Wait that's a woman. False alarm men." one of the men with a handgun answered.
The police relaxed and Jessica padded on to the front desk. She waited as the lady spoke with another guest. As the minutes passed and the woman spoke with guest after guest Jessica became frustrated. What's taking so long, she wondered.
"Miss..." she called as the lady stepped back from the desk.
"Yes madam. What can I help you with?" she said eying Jessica in the hotel's robe.
"Miss...McDermott you double booked my room. Is there some chance I can get another one?" Jessica replied grimly.
"Well let's see. Aha, oh wait..." Miss McDermott mumbled squinting at the computer screen, "Here we go. Room 105A. Here is your key, once you get to the room phone room service to have you bags transferred."
Jessica grabbed the key and stalked over to the elevators. This better be some room, she thought, as people stared at her as she walked by.
She jammed the up button and waited until she saw the arrow above the first elevator turn green. The doors slid back and Jessica walked in with another couple and an elderly man.
Jessica pressed the second floor button and stood back. Once the doors closed she looked around. The elevator was lined with mirrors. It seemed as if dozens of people were inside. Jessica was staring at the walls fascinated when all of a sudden she was pushed against the side. She felt something against her back and panic seized her. She couldn't move.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
