Central International Airport "What do you suggest we do?" Kanya asked staring out to the horizon. Kanya imagined a place where no one would ever come looking for her, a nice little island she could call her own. Kanya let the image fade from her mind, it wouldn't do her any good to day dream.
Kanya looked back up to Nale and saw the frown cross his face, he obviously had not thought of a plan yet. Kanya, irritated, stood up and started to leave. "Wait," Nale shouted to her. Kanya turned around and took a sip of her drink as she listened to him speak. "I have somewhere we can hide out for a couple days while we figure something out."
Kanya nodded, she didn't have any better plans for the moment and decided to follow his until she thought of one. Kanya followed Nale to his vehicle, a bright red '93 Ford Taurus. When they left the beach Kanya saw a city off a little ways, to her right, probably only a five minute drive, but they weren't headed there. They were going the opposite direction.
At the beginning of the car ride began with some small talk. Kanya tried figuring out why she knew him and it seemed to annoy Nale that she hadn't remembered him. after about ten minutes of this the conversation fell to an awkward silence. neither sure what to say to the other. Kanya spent the rest of the ride watching the sun set, hoping that they'd get to their location soon.
Eventually the car came to a stop in a densely forested area, little light existed since the sun had already disappeared behind the horizon. "Here we are" Nale said yawning. Kanya got out of the vehicle and looked around she could barely see what he was talking about until she saw a little tiny house. It looked as if it was falling apart, windows were boarded up, the grass went up to her knees, and half of the front porch had collapsed. Ths place was familiar to Kanya however, she recognized it and she felt sick to her stomache being in its presence | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
