This choice: The plane does not take off • Go Back...
Chapter #8

Stalled Pout

    by: Unknown
The plane sat in the staging area at the far end of the runway for quite some time before the pilot's voice crackled over the PA.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking... Sorry about theis slight delay in takeoff, but, uhh, ice was discovered forming on our wings, and... we've got to get that taken care of before we depart... so, if you'll just be a bit more patient, we'll get the trouble sorted... and, uhh, be underway very shortly. He sounded nervous and quite uncertain, and if there was one thing Taffina Marks couldn't stand, it was a nervous and uncertain male!

"Well, this will just not do!" Taffina huffed, glancing curiously up and down the aisle from her First Class seat. Where was that snooty bitch of a stewardess? Taffina couldn't be bothered to wait a few more minutes, she was pressing the call button repeatedly, growing anxious and more aggravated by the second.

Finally, as no flight attendants came to her aid within 30 seconds of her having her diva-fit, she leaped up and made her move down the aisle. Taffina was so wrapped up in her own little diva-world, she failed to note that there were no crews outside the window, working on deicing the wings; instead, several police cars, including a SWAT van were cruising across the tarmac heading to the plane.

Rather, Taffina wondered who would be most able to meet her needs best in this crisis: the nervous and uncertain pilot, or the snooty bitch of a stewardess.
