Chapter #8

Fight for What's Right

    by: Unknown
"Hey man, what's your problem?!" a rastafarian-looking dude with dredlocks and wearing hemp-clothing glared over the back of his seat just in front of Justin. "Why you be kickin' my seat, brau?"

Justin saw this as the opportunity he was (not) looking for...

"You mean, why kick your seat, when I could be kicking your ass?" The rasta man leaped from his seat, lashing out with a wicked right cross right at Justin's face. Justin quickly raised his laptop from his lap, and the doped-up dope's fist crashed hard into the silver computer-casing. Justin lowered the case and pivoted his arms back upward sharply, catching the rasta-man beneath his fuzzy chin with the leading edge of technology in Justin's hands.

Before the melee could continue, 2 flight attendants descended from either end of the aisle, along with the on-board air marshall, who helped to detain the combatants until airport security could be summoned.

From inside the airport, Kanya could see the sky-cap rolling out to the plane, though Kanya herself was taken into the security holding area before she could ascertain what the further fuss was all about.

Kanya looked for any opportunity to make her escape from the holding room, and when the security forces were called back to the concourse outside, she thought she'd found her moment. She wasn't worried about being arrested for theft, since the evidence of theft was left on the plane, and would be confiscated by the flight crew or some passenger in Bermuda. But Raul would still have plenty to say and do to her once he was contacted by his people; she was caught between a rock and a hard place, cooped up and cornered. She could take her chances right now, there may not be another opportunity...
