Central International Airport This choice: One long boring night then flight • Go Back...Chapter #7One long boring night then flight by: Unknown Andrew was preoccupied most of the time at the Royal Oak. Andrew had hoped that Jessica would help him not think of his dull job but she seemed tired and irritable and Andrew soon left her feigning a head ache. Jessica, who thought Andrew would be able to cheer her up, actually did not find hm very enthusiastic in her company and was not surprised when he decided to leave. Jessica, now alone, looked around the Royal Oak. Her Guinness second drink was nearly done and she had also finished her light snack. Jessica felt better now, in the quiet, friendly chatter atmosphere of the Oak and tried absorbing the English atmosphere. Taking a cab back to her room, she watched a typical english comedy on tv for an hour before she nodded off to sleep. Jessica just managed to remember arranging the wake up call .
It was drizzling next morning and Jessica had just settled her room dues and was waiting for the airport shuttle bus. She was now glad that the London stopover had been uneventful and quiet. She was able to get over the irritation at being in London and now looked forward to Paris. The cab driver, thankfully, was not very communicative and gave a grunt when she paid him off and got down at the airport with her baggage. After looking around for the correct airline counters, Jessica briskly moved towards the checking in desk where a bright and happy face greeted her and apologized for the London stop over. Jessica was happy to complete check in and proceed to gate 44 for boarding.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
