Central International Airport This choice: The plane lands and Jessica's father is there. • Go Back...Chapter #7Mixed Emotions by: Unknown Jessica took a deep breath, she had retrieved her baggage and was now making her way to the entrance of the airport. In her email, she had told her father she would get a cab but she spotted him from a long way off, his towering figure searching around for her.
"Hello Dad." Jessica said as she reached him, she watched to see his reaction but his face remained expressionless.
"Jessica, I hope you had an easy flight." Was all he said.
To be honest, Jessica expected nothing less. Hamish Thomas was a stubborn, ruthless man and he had shown no other side to Jessica. The only one who had seen his other side was David. Jessica felt a pang of guilt.
"My flight was fine Father, how is David?"
"He is away for a few days, Music Camp. You know how he enjoys playing the piano." This took Jessica aback a little bit, her father had not mentioned they would be alone for the first few days, she had come to see David and this was very out of the ordinary.
"It was already booked before you told me you were coming, David didn't want to miss it, he has made many friends." Hamish said coldly as if reading Jessica's mind.
Hamish led his daughter out into the sunshine of Paris, they bypassed the harassing taxi drivers and arriving at a black aston martin, a different car from the last time Jessica had been. Hamish lifted the boot and Jessica put her luggage in the small boot. Hamish took his position in the driving seat and Jessica got in beside him.
"Business must be good." Jessica said admiring the interior of the car, plush leather seats, curved edges and luxurious carpet beneath her feet.
Hamish Thomas just grunted and Jessica knew she would have to try hard to make conversation.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
