Central International Airport "Let's find a quiet conference room here, so we can take our time talkin'" Jason Abraham continued.
Jason's cousin, Tom Abraham, Jr., didn't take long finding such a room.
Kanya still felt dazed. She was unusually quiet. "Well it's been a long day, hasn't it?" Jason asked Kanya as Tom and another airline employee brought refreshments. "That's the understatement of the year, I think," Kanya remarked dryly.
"I started with a simple vacation in Bermuda, then I descend into this madhouse that I didn't even know existed. Then when things start to settle down, they suddenly get worse, like something out of a bad movie!" Jason complained “Tell me, Kanya, is this a normal week for you? Or do you just attract trouble?”
Kanya chuckled ruefully and paused before answering.
“Well I might as well start at the beginning and bring you guys up to speed. And I better warn you, it’s quite a long story.”
“We got plenty of time,” Tom pointed out. Jason agreed: “Just talk slowly & we’ll listen. Now that we've found this quiet lounge for ourselves we have plenty of time. So just talk slowly so we don't miss anything. Remember, you can trust us completely. I can vouch for my second cousin, who's married and has a family of his own back in Minnesota, where our entire family comes from.”
"O.K. Well it all starts with Raoul, my ex-boyfriend, the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life. And I'm not exaggerating, either. Until I met you Jason, I honestly didn't know if there were any decent men left in the whole world. But I've changed my mind." Jason blushed a little with pleasure, but Tom nodded silently, and motioned with his hand for her to continue.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
