You looked as though you were having one hell of a nightmare there" Jason asked, concern filling his face as he raised Kanya's eyes to his.
Kanya stopped for a moment to gather her tangled thoughts. She realised she was not back in that dark place, she was on a plane and the handsome stranger was looking at her.
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just a nervous flyer is all." she lied, hoping this would seem like a plausible reason. She sat up, retrieved her iPod from the floor next to her feet where it had dropped and pushed her hair from her eyes.
Jason sat back in his seat, still looking at her with concern. "Should I call over a stewardess for you? Get you some water or something?" he asked.
Water was about as far from what Kanya wanted as was possible. "I think I should probably have something stronger, settle my nerves, you know how it is."
Jason motioned to his friend Alice and Kanya order a vodka tonic which she drank down in three gulps. "I'm sorry I worried you, I think I'd better try and stay awake now."
"Well in that case, I'll just have to keep you occupied until the plane lands" Jason said...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
