The scared blue eyes returning her gaze looked familiar. The cute freckled guy from the airport was in her room. He stood, white-faced, arms and legs wide, his back flat against the wall.

"I don't understand how I got here or where the hell I am." The words came out in a hoarse rush. "You're the girl from the airport. I was checking my bag and someone pushed me. Now I'm here." He shook his head and cautiously moved away from the wall, stretching a hand out to balance.

"My bag made it too." Frowning, he stepped toward a gray backpack on the bed. "What's this yellow tag?"

Kanya fixed her gaze on the bag. A shiver of fear raced up her spine at the sight of the innocuous yellow tag. There was something very wrong with that tag.

"It's not smart to trust strangers," he said. "My name's Justin. Now we're not strangers."

He half-smiled. "I think I'm dreaming or I've else I've cracked up. I've been under a lot of pressure lately. This could be my mind's way of..."

He didn't get a chance to finish.
