Hey, he's reading the new Grishom book. "Do you like the book, Justin? I haven't read that one yet." Helen smiled, hoping she had it just right -- there's something here between us and I'd like a chance to talk not let's be part of the Mile High Club.
Justin smiled back and handed the book to her. "I like it so far," he said "Here, take a look." Despite the awkward reach around Spider. Justin's fingers lingered on hers for an encouraging second. Their eyes met in a shared smile. Spider shrugged, stuck his earbuds back in place and then sprawled over as much area between them as he dared.
Justin looked beyond Helen to the empty seat next to her. "Mind if I switch seats?"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
