About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. Kiya's gift. I love it!
The Case of Aloft National Bank Robbery
This choice: Creep carefully toward the brush so as not to alert the suspect  •  Go Back...
Jessica crept toward the bushes, trying to make as little noise as possible.

What she didn't know was that the German Shepherd dog was creeping behind her, intrigued by her behaviour.

She was a few yards away from the hooded figure - a few feet - a few inches -

"Put your hands up or I'll shoot!"

Jessica stopped in her tracks, and put her hands up quickly. The suspect was pointing a gun straight at her. Behind her, the German Shepherd dog was growling fiercely.

"Now, just you tell me why you've been following me, or I shall ..."

"I .. I ... " stammered Jessica, her soft voice almost drowned out by the horrible growls coming from behind. "That is ... you see ... the bank ..."

"Aha," said the suspect, lowering the gun.

You have the following choices:

1. The German Shepherd dog pounces on the suspect.

2. The suspect's cell phone rings.

*Noteb*
3. Sirens!

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
