About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. Kiya's gift. I love it!

"Good job!" Jessica flashed a broad smile at the handsome, young detective. "By the way, I don't know your name yet..."

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Do forgive me, it's my first major case." He smiled sheepishly as he shook her hand. "Agent Morgan. But everybody calls me Gun".

Things were going great so far. Jessica figured she had better act quickly before Darren found her out.

"Well, I don't think the fingerprints will be of much use. Let's go look at the security tapes. We might find a lead there."

"Sure! This way."

Jessica frowned as she peered across the other two detectives' shoulders at the small screen.

Agent Milles and Agent Gart had merely nodded when Gun introduced her. Both of them watched the fast forwarded security videos intently without a word.

"Hey wait!" Jessica exclaimed. Her sharp eyes had spied a shadow flick across the screen.

"Rewind the video a little and enlarge the part near the window. I saw something there."

Gun quickly pressed the controls.

"Ma'am, there's nothing here. We've been over these tapes three times." Agent Milles rolled his eyes. Why did Gun have to bring a private investigator into this?

"Look!" Gun exclaimed, pointing at the screen.

Jessica gasped when she saw the frozen image. How could that be possible?
