A Review From The Iron Bank Of Braavos
Title: Daffodil Slumber
My name is Megan. I am one of the sly foxes.
First Impression: I like daffodils and with spring being at a slow pace, I thought I would read something that makes me happy and optimistic about spring. I like prose poetry about nature and so I chose this. Beneath a frozen blanket, lie daffodils in slumber. Good call. Nice opening lines. I was ready to read some more so I stay in tune and read this prose.
What needs your attention: Maybe you could mention a hint of sunshine. Maybe mention another type of flower and if it slumbers as well.
What part I liked best: Spring rays reaching under. Nodding it's frilled face. Soothing the psyche of a paused observer. Some good reflections and I could picture this in my mind.
Overall Impression: Creative and colorful. Easy to follow. I like the style and I like prose. A nice play on words. Well chosen words. I can picture Jack Frost as he painted the flowers to sleep. This is peaceful and spring seems to be in this poem. I enjoyed reading this.
