About This Author
I am a 40 year old married mother of two teenage boys. I live for writing, especially romance. Love the happily ever after scenerio. The best thing about writing for me is the ability to lose yourself in your work, and feel as if you've accomplished something great. At the end of the day, that's all that really matters.

Hello, Purple Wishing WDC Happy 24th!

*Checkb*Overall Impression:
"My Wish" is a tender and heartfelt poem that evokes the enduring presence of love, even in absence. It beautifully captures the essence of an unbreakable emotional bond.

*Checkb*Form, Rhythm, Cadence, and Style:
This poem utilizes a free verse structure that flows smoothly, mirroring a comforting lullaby's soft, soothing tones. The lack of a rigid rhyme scheme allows the emotions to take center stage, with natural pauses that emphasize the sincerity and depth of the speaker’s feelings.

*Checkb*Content:
The poem captures the speaker's deep desire to be a perpetual source of support and comfort. The imagery of holding someone close and being a constant, unseen guardian is powerful. It speaks to the theme of love transcending physical presence, suggesting that physical separations do not hinder authentic emotional connections.

*Checkb*Grammar and Mechanics:
The poem is well put together, with a careful selection of words and structure. The grammar and punctuation appear correct and are used to guide the reader through the message without distraction.

*Checkb*Final Thoughts:
This is a touching piece that will resonate with anyone who has loved deeply. The poem's gentle flow and emotional depth make it a comforting read, perfect for moments of reflection.
